Jimei Palace - Lux
Back in 2024, I ordered the Worlds (basically their World Cup?) statue of League of Legends. I did not hear anything from Riot for over one and a half years. When I opened a support ticket, I got the very helpful response, “We did not cancel your order.” I checked twice if they snuck in the word "yet" somewhere. But just a few months later, my prepaid statue of Luxanna Crowngaurd finally arrived.
I am not sure for whom these gloves are made, but surely not me. There is no way I can get my hands in those. But I appreciate the thought. The certificate of authenticity, on the other hand, is a nice addition. To my surprise the box was not that heavy, at least compared to Sarah Fortune.
The statue was as well packaged as always. The little red stickers giving you a hint of what to look for when assembling it were a very welcome addition. They made things considerably easier.
Getting all the small pieces like the flower petals attached was a challenge. Thankfully, my lovely wife is not vertically gifted, which means she has small hands, making this a lot easier for her than for me.
The statue lights up and it looks really good! And thankfully, other than Miss Fortune, you do not get a barrel plug and a switch on the statue. A simple 5V USB-C power adapter does the trick. And they have a cable with a switch and a remote included. I do not think there is a chance to ever swap the LED if it dies, which is really unfortunate because the statue would make a great little addition to ambient lighting. Also, very fitting for the Lady of Luminosity.
The details and craftsmanship are on point. The face is well done, the lighting is a nice addition, and overall, it was absolutely worth waiting over 18 months for Lux to be delivered. Like Miss Fortune, there was a metal crest with the unique number included, which makes another nice little piece of decoration. If things continue like this, I might need a crest wall at some point.
