Custom keyboards from my feed reader
I like keyboards, they are a fun hobby and a necessity for my job. So I am always happy when I see anything keyboard related pop up in my feed reader! I tried to collect a few instead of posting each one individually, so the posts and video are a bit older.
Andy Scott posted about their new "Golden Boy". I heard pretty good things about the GamaKay SN75, especially at the price point it is competing. I tried SA profile keycaps and they drive me crazy to type on, I just do not know why.
Jonas Hietala took it a step further and tested a good amount of keyboards before settling on building their own. The Cosmos keyboard configurator looks like a really neat and well rounded piece of software if you are into this style of keyboards.
I decided to build a keyboard somewhen this year. But a split, low profile keyboard similar to Christian Selig mostly meant for travel. Which will also mean wireless keyboard controllers, no RGB to maximize battery lifetime and all the other fun stuff. And I might actually look for a service to CNC the case instead of 3D printing it to make it a bit more rigid.
If you work on any fun keyboard projects please send them my way!
