Cloud egress cost comparison
GetDeploying published a pretty good breakdown what the egress cost per TB is for different providers. The curious part here is the bottom of the table. Hetzner is usually on the less expensive end and can offer 1 TB for $1.08. Amazon (as usual) trying to squeeze every cent out of their customers at $92. Being at over $500 I am not sure what to say but you should likely avoid giving them your credit card information if you are not 100% serious about the project.
Take pricing with a grain of salt. This is what you likely pay for deploying a side project and not keeping an eye on your metrics. I never worked with any large / enterprise customer needing significant egress who did not have a special deal with a CDN provider bringing cost significantly down. Keep in mind that a hybrid approach is always a valid strategy. Stay on your favourite cloud for all the nice, hosted services, but host your files on a Hetzner or Scaleway server. Shoutout to Cloudflare for a pretty reasonable approach and being the most accessible CDN provider for most folks.
